So far, you have told us what you would like to receive as members of Team Aquatic Therapy.
As we speak, we are crunching the data and will present you with a chart of potential "perks" of membership. From that chart, we will (as a Team) prioritize and select which items mean the most to aquatic therapists.
In addition, you have started telling us which aquatic books are your favorites. We will start to stock these books at a discount as soon as all the data is in.
So, here is your reward. If you have done at least 2 Beta tasks, please use the Post a Comment section below to tell us what you want us to make available as a PDF download next.
Currently, at Aquaticnet.com as a member you can access RefWorks. Through RefShare, you can view our database of almost 5000 aquatic therapy abstracts easily.
If you don't want to do the searching yourself, you can download the following "printable" bibliographies:
- Specialty Techniques (Watsu, Bad Ragaz, Ai Chi, Halliwick, etc.)
- Pregnancy
- Bone Density and Body Composition
- Proprioception (Gait, Balance, Posture, Weight Bearing, etc.)
You can also download the last 2 years of The Aquatic Therapist magazine archives online.
So, what do you want us to make available next?
Help us make your request a reality by breaking it up into small "do-able" tasks. For instance,
- tell us you want the next printable bibliography to be on strength training in the pool; or
- tell us you want a list of aquatic therapy precautions and contraindications; or
- ask us for a list of "must have" equipment.
Just don't ask for "everything on musculoskeletal patients". That's too broad to do as one download!
But hey, it's totally in your hands. It's your Team...
Warm water regards,
Andrea Salzman, MS, PT
